Radiation therapy is an essential component of cancer care, received by over 14 million people a year (50 – 60% of total cancer patients). Despite wide clinical use, the delivered radiation dose can only be planned and verified via simulations with phantoms, and an in vivo, in-line verification of delivered dose is still unavailable in clinical settings.

MEDICAL MIND is pioneering a new class of acoustic imaging and detection system can directly imaging the delivered radiation dose right on the tumor inside the patient. This discovery has the potential to cause a paradigm shift in how radiotherapy is documented and archived for quality audit and real time control.
